Bloodlust Dungeon (runto: dungeon)

(There’s a lot of ‘dungeon’ areas. The runto might get changed to ‘bloodlust’ and that works.)

Walkthrough

(Oddly for me this one is from scratch. Maybe the first of the area. Let me know if it’s useful. --Saltmarsh, 2022)

  1. At the entrance to the area, 'listen Jaerinda' then 'say aye'

  2. Stinky cloak mechanic: The area is full of powerful aggro mobs. Jaerinda gives you a 'stinky cloak' (made of feces!). Mobs will not usually be aggro while you're wearing the cloak, but it has an expiry timer. Keep an eye on the timer and when it's about to expire or when you notice mobs being aggro in all rooms, simply recall. Runto the area again, say 'cloak' to Jaerinda and wear the fresh cloak.

  3. Rescue the troop - find each dwarf in turn. Kill all mobs in the room except the dwarf (no aoe attacks). Then listen to the dwarf and they will run off, rescued. You need to rescue the dwarves before a repop so begin immediately after a repop, and use holy word/banish or similar to kill mobs fast.

  4. Investigate the sealed door - if the tasklist doesn’t update, return to Jaerinda and listen. Now go to NE corner of the armoury called A Vast Armory (45761). Look and read: ‘look; look entryway; look symbols; look gemstones’. The gemstones cannot be placed yet.

  5. Learn to read the ancient symbols - kill minotaurs of all sorts and all around the dungeon to unlock the next task. When one dies with a death message saying you learn part of the mino language, you have advanced. This needs to happen 16 times. It’s a random drop task and can take a very, very long time with long sticking points. There is no trick; just keep killing minotaurs. You can return to the doorway and ‘look symbols’ to see how many remain. When you have 16 and do this you will be invited to place the stones.

  6. Place the stones in the door - may be individual for each player. Look at the symbols to remind yourself of the colours. (Sometimes this gives a “you need to learn the language” again, just wait and ‘look symbols’ again.) Then place gems as indicated ‘place yellow gemstone bottom right’, etc. You will be transported to a new room.

  7. Destroy the ultimate weapon - attack and kill the mob The ultimate weapon of mass destruction. Once destroyed a more powerful mob is released and attacks - The fallen god Nyorath. This fight needs a lot of resists and potentially a lot of heal potions.Remember to swap the stinky cloak for better resists, but get a replacement before the next task.

  8. Return to Jaerinda and say ‘I have destroyed the weapon’.

  9. Destroy the altar - run to The Southern Platform (45975) and ‘look altar’ and ‘look in urns‘. Now kill the wizard in this room to receive THE SECRET FORMULA.

  10. ‘Look formula’ and ‘identify formula’ for the next task, which is to collect a number of mino hearts, intestines and brains. The number may vary by player.

  11. Another minotaur killing spree with random drops. This will be well over 100 minotaurs. Occasionally return to the platform to ‘put brain gold’ etc..

    1. Throughout the process below keep spare organs in inventory. Don’t drop them, sac them etc. You may need to fill the urns more than once.

    2. A couple of confusions can occur due to shared keyword ‘innards’ and ‘put urn’ always selecting one urn. These can make many items not get counted. Only use the following commands to fill the urns: ‘put heart blackened’, ‘put intestine silver’, ‘put brain golden’. Like the door runes, progress saves across logins.

    3. The numbers need to be exact to your SECRET FORMULA. (If this step varies by player, it will be in the numbers and the name of the god in the formula). You can remove accidentally placed organs with for example ‘get heart from blackened’.

  12. When the urns are correct, Pray to the god named on the formula ‘pray to [god]’. As before this fight needs a lot of resists and potentially a lot of heal potions.Remember to swap the stinky cloak for better resists, but get a replacement before the next task. Watch your wimpy - if you retreat or flee during the fight you will need to re-fill the urns to restart the fight.

  13. Return to Jaerinda and say ‘ the altar has been destroyed’.

  14. Kill the brothers, open the vault - kill these minos in order. Some are mobile and you need to search around the room named. They are no-hunt but ‘where’ will give location. It doesn’t matter if there’s a repop during the list:

    1. Krahtal First, at Daemon’s Shadow (45855)

    2. Hantor Second, at The common room (45898)

    3. Ulthor Third, at Side Hallway (45876) (they move)

    4. Landel Fourth, Glowing Corridor (46046)

    5. Ganthor Fifth, A Lone Platform (46003)

    6. Yoramor Sixth, Vast Armory 45762

    7. Domanal Seventh, Entrance to the Apothecary (45859)

  15. Domanal will drop the vault key. The vault (45878 and west) has a constant damage mechanic. It looks like the trap mechanisms can be destroyed as mobs, but simpler to get a fresh cloak, many potions, rush to 45883 and get coin. (Keyring put vault key in case you need to return.)

  16. Use the coin, kill the gods - Stock up on pots and resists again. Run to The Symbol of the Forgotten (46072) and ‘put coin in eye’ to enter a labyrinth and kill 3 gods. This is tough! The rooms of the labyrinth sap moves, mana and hp. The gods are no hunt and level 230+ Tips to assist:

    1. Take lots and lots of pots for life, mana, and moves. Dress for many resists

    2. Where a room says “This would be a good place to rest” it does not sap mana and hp and can be used for sleep

    3. It’s possible to get stuck if you run out of moves and move pots. Keep enough moves to get to a mob and die out when necessary.

    4. You can grind the god bosses. If you die, buy fresh pots and return, you can usually continue the fight. Dropping a pet in the room next to a god boss can help you hunt quickly through the maze.

  17. When the third god is dead you will be kicked from the labyrinth to the room south of Jaerinda. Move to Jaerinda’s room to close the goal.

Rewards

  • 800+ trains

  • Instead of wearing the stinky cloak, you can ‘nod’ at Jaerinda to get a talisman that prevents mobs being aggro while it is in inventory. It has a 30 minute rot timer.

  • The ability to start Dungeon2 a fun daily task/goal.
