Walkthrough

  1. At An Alcove (14963) type 'accept' to open the goal.
  2. type 'join the light' then 'hunt huge' through the maze. In the room with the HUGE hellhound (14968) kill it for the key and go down. The key has a short rot timer so you may have to kill it each time you pass this way. Go to A Blocked Path (14973) and kill the Werewolf for the next key you need (a large hammer). No need to wield it. Proceed to The Dark Guardian's Lair (14977) and kill the chimera. The three sets of eyes is a random drop - if it doesn't drop re-enter the area and try again.
  3. Return to the area start and 'join the dark'. At The Castle Gate (14982) kill the centaur guard for the 'trick key'. Proceed to The Light Guardian's Lair (14992) and give the chimera eyes to the unicorn for a book.
  4. Return to the area, return to the unicorn, and kill the unicorn. Repeat until it drops its horn. This is another random drop and may require many attempts, but the unicorn repops instantly.
  5. Return to the chimera and give it the unicorn's horn for another book.
  6. Go to The Top of The Tower (14997). Kill the gargoyles. 'Hunt mage' to Malcrom the Ageless and give him the two books. He will give you another book which is a portal to the last room with the orb (The citadel's orb, 15009). 'Hold book' and 'enter'. Note the book had a 5 day rot timer.
  7. Re-equip your weapon!
  8. Previous guides reported: "The force guarding the orb is level locked at 85 or so. It reportedly teleports you out if your level is too high when you attack. Blind it immediately to fix this." But I killed it at Lvl201 without using blind and had no trouble.
  9. Kill the Guardian of The Orb to get the real portal to the area (Majestic Orb).
